Description
Overview of the Craftsman CMEBL7000
- Power: The Craftsman CMEBL7000 can expel 450 cubic feet of air per minute (CFM) from its nozzle at a maximum speed of 260 MPH.
- Power delivery: This unit, featuring a 12 Amp motor, is a corded blower. It must be plugged into an electrical outlet with a reliable power source at all times during operation. Note that the power cord might not be included with the blower. Should you wish to obtain one, use our gauge calculator.
- Handling: Designed to be handheld, this blower offers excellent maneuverability, making it effortless to carry and use for short periods. Be aware that, at 11.27 lbs, the Craftsman CMEBL7000 is on the heavier side of electric handheld blowers.
- Speed Settings: As with similar models of its class, this leaf blower has just one operating speed.
- Vacuum: As a blower vac, the CMEBL7000 handily vacuums unwanted material into a storage bag for easy disposal (11 gallon bag included).
- Mulching: The manufacturer’s specifications give it a mulching ratio of 12:1. For every 12 bags you put in, it will reduce down to just one bag of mulch. The unit uses a plastic impeller.

About Craftsman
Craftsman is a label which traces its roots to 1927, when it was first registered by the Sears department store. The brand has been only recently acquired by Stanley Black & Decker. Their products seem to be assembled in the US, from materials that are sourced abroad. Their selection features a wide range of lawn keeping equipment, including several leaf blowers. Little by little, Craftsman are diversifying their leaf blower offers. Craftsman blowers used to be exclusively handheld and electrically powered, but we now see backpack and gas-powered models. Both their price and specs range from the lower to middle tier.
Warranty Information
The Craftsman CMEBL7000 is covered under a warranty for up to 3 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the blower.

Two year old Craftsman Blower Vac
After resting for the winter and into the summer, the damned thing won’t start. Not a peep!
Where do I get a service manual to try and get it going or do I just throw it in the garbage and get something that works?
I bought one at Lowe’s, I had to return it because it was giving me an electrical shock through the handle. They let me swap with a new one and sure enough the same thing is happening. I called craftsman, told them what happened. They sent me a new one and sure enough the same thing an electrical shock through the handle. Called them again and they sent a new blower/vac and sure enough I’m getting an electrical shock through the handle. Anyone else having this issue?
The hose keep blowing out of the bag ..as a vacuum
Very nice machine.
Offers the power I was expecting.
Unit works well for me. I have not had any of the problems people mention here (not working), except that it comes disconnect from the power cord very easily. I have to hold onto the cord to keep it from disconnecting when I am using it.
I would not recommend this blower/vacuum unit. Two units have failed after very limited use. They do not start after a few uses and the switch is difficult to push to the on position. Very disappointed at a unit called Craftsman. The equipment looks great, but just does not work.
I was so pleased to use my leaf vacuum since my landscaper kept putting me off. However, the vacuum stopped working during my first use. I returned and exchanged the unit for one brand new in the box; I couldn’t believe that that one did not work either. A huge disappointment especially from Craftsman.
duck tape, wire, and patience are useful for the blower vac’s successful operation – must have been designed by a man! My recommendations would include the zipper to either be horizontal from end to end or if at its current location be longer leaving greater access to dump enclosed debris. The outlet cord should be longer to knot to the extension cord so it wouldn’t keep coming unplugged. The connection where the flexible hose attached to its rigid attachment should have a more reliable attachment. I finally wired it together after trying zip ties. Where the suction tubes join each other the plastic connection has fractured and required duct tape. Would I buy this again – well the concept is good but quality extremely questionable so no! Price was good. Once I finally got it wired and duct taped together its performance was very good. Its style is extremely bulky.
Not happy, the thing died on me after the first use!
I had a green works battery operated blower before. Battery died after a year. Got this electric plug in unit, it was easily to assemble. I took it out for a test try. It has lots of power, more MPH than the other twelve units I looked at. The price was just perfect for what it offers.
My Unit did not work at first, the blower now works but I’ve never got the mulcher & vacume to work at all… I have read the manual over a few times ,
