The Greenworks 24322

The Greenworks 24322 is a cordless handheld blower that is appropriate for homeowners with yards that fall in the mid-size range, suitable for seasonal cleanup and routine care.

It is capable of expelling a maximum air volume of 340 cubic feet per minute (CFM). Its air speed is rated at 185 miles per hour (MPH). In practice, this blower should move scattered leaves across yard areas and patios with concentrated airflow.

With a 40V brushless motor, the 24322 functions as a cordless blower, offering freedom of movement. A 4.0Ah battery is included, giving up to 21 minutes of runtime on a full charge.

Not all jobs need full power. The 24322 has 6 speed settings so, you can blow more or less air from the blower depending on the job.

This cordless handheld blower weighs 4.2 lbs as a bare tool and 7.2 lbs with the battery installed, while still being suited for one-handed operation with controlled airflow.

The 24322 can also work as a vacuum, allowing users to gather leaves into a detachable bag (11 gallon bag included). Building on the vacuum setting, this blower’s 10:1 mulching ratio efficiently converts 10 bags of leaves into a single bag of mulch during collection. The unit uses a plastic impeller.

The Greenworks 24322's performance versus other blowers

The following charts are provided to give you an idea how the key specs of the Greenworks 24322 compare with handheld leaf blowers of similar voltage (between 36 and 48V).

Important: All figures are based on published specifications. Because manufacturers may test at different power levels or under different conditions, use the autonomy/runtime efficiency figures as a guideline only.
  • When compared to other cordless handheld blowers in the 36 to 48V range, the Greenworks 24322 stands out for its lower bare tool weight: just 4.2 lbs. Should weight be a deciding factor, the Black+Decker LSW40C is worth a look at just 2.4 lbs the bare tool.
  • Upon exiting the nozzle, the air can reach speeds of up to 185 MPH, which is rather impressive for a battery-operated handheld blower between 36 and 48V. If you wish to benefit from air expelled at the fastest possible speed, the Husqvarna 350iB and its 200 MPH could be an option to consider.
  • The Greenworks 24322 delivers air at a rate of 340 CFM (cubic feet per minute), placing it towards the bottom of the range for cordless handheld blowers with a comparable voltage. For the highest air volume, you may want to have a look at the Ryobi RY40HPLB01K, which boasts with 800 CFM.
  • Users can expect a maximum autonomy of 21 minutes from its battery, which means the 24322 won't run as long as many other cordless handheld units before needing to be plugged in. To enjoy the best possible autonomy in this category, you could have a look at the Stihl BGA 200 which offers up to 535 minutes of runtime.
  • Runtime alone doesn’t always tell the full story because it depends heavily on battery capacity. Runtime efficiency can give a clearer picture by showing how much work you get per unit of battery power. With its current setup, the Greenworks 24322 offers a lower level of runtime efficiency compared to the other compared battery-powered handheld models. If you are focused on getting more use per charge, the Stihl BGA 50 offers the highest runtime efficiency, at 0.8 minutes per Wh.

The bottom line

STRENGTHS:
