Description
Zoom on the Husqvarna 570iBT
With its cordless backpack design, the Husqvarna 570iBT is mostly aimed at homeowners with big residential yards that extend beyond half an acre and require ongoing upkeep, and professional landscapers handling medium-to-large yards for clients.
It is rated for a maximum air volume of 872 cubic feet per minute (CFM) and a maximum air speed of 188 miles per hour (MPH). To put it simply, it combines strong airflow to move piles of leaves in the yard with enough force to clear heavier material such as pine needles or acorns from patios and walkways.
Featuring a 36V brushless motor, the unit provides cordless operation, allowing you to operate with great mobility. This is a bare tool unit, meaning no battery comes with it. At minimum, one 36V BLi-X battery are needed for operation; up to 3 batteries may be used to increase runtime. According to Husqvarna, when using the 40-B540X battery, the blower should be able to run up to 195 minutes on a full charge.
For those who wish to have complete control while operating their leaf blower, the 570iBT offers variable speed settings, and moreover, is also equipped with cruise control, which allows the user to comfortably continue blowing at their preferred setting.
This cordless backpack blower weighs 19.6 lbs and distributes that weight across the shoulders and back for extended use with less strain on the arms. When using a 40-B540X battery, the total weight of the blower reaches around 25.9 lbs. Its throttle is located on the tube, which allows to keep the left hand free.
The Husqvarna 570iBT carries an IPX4 rating, meaning it’s protected from splashes of water, useful when working in damp grass or light drizzle.

The Husqvarna 570iBT's performance versus other blowers
The following charts are provided to give you an idea how the key specs of the Husqvarna 570iBT compare with other cordless backpack leaf blowers.
- With a weight of 19.6 lbs, the Husqvarna 570iBT stands out as a heavier option in the cordless backpack blowers in the 36 to 40V range. To enjoy the lowest possible weight in this category, you could have a look at the Ryobi RY40HPLB02K which is only 13.2 lbs the bare tool.
- It can push air from the nozzle at 188 MPH, which puts it ahead of its class in terms of air speed for battery-operated backpack blowers. If you wish to benefit from air expelled at the fastest possible speed, the Stihl BRA 280 and its 192 MPH could be an option to consider.
- If air volume is an important feature, the 570iBT by Husqvarna will not disappoint. Its airflow maxes out at 872 CFM (cubic feet per minute), which makes this unit one of the most powerful cordless backpack blowers with a comparable voltage.
- The 570iBT's exceptional battery life sets it apart, offering significantly longer autonomy compared to the majority of cordless backpack units. It can operate for up to 195 minutes. If autonomy is an important factor for you, the Makita CBU02Z can run for up to 240 minutes and could be worth considering.
- While runtime is an important metric, it is closely tied to battery capacity. To understand performance more clearly, it’s also useful to look at runtime efficiency, how long the unit runs relative to its battery size. Runtime efficiency for the Husqvarna 570iBT sits comfortably in the middle of the range for battery-powered backpack blowers. If runtime efficiency matters most to you, you might look at the Ryobi RY40HPLB02K, which delivers a higher runtime efficiency of 0.23 minutes per Wh.
