Description
Zoom on the Milwaukee MXF600-0
The Milwaukee MXF600-0 is a cordless backpack blower that is a good match for both homeowners with larger home grounds ranging from half-acre lawns to multi-acre estates, and professionals handling medium-to-large yards for clients.
It sports a max air speed of 190 MPH and a max air volume rating of 800 cubic feet per minute (CFM). For the user, this translates into a blower that should move leaves effectively across lawn sections and hard surfaces, while also being capable of shifting compacted leaves or light yard debris like twigs.
The MXF600-0 features a 72V brushless motor, providing cordless operation for flexibility and mobility. Milwaukee claims that it can deliver power of a 63-cc gas backpack blower. As this is a bare tool, the blower does not come with any batteries. To function, it requires a 72V MX FUEL™ battery. With the MXFHD812 battery, Milwaukee says the blower should operate for up to 45 minutes on a full charge.
The Milwaukee MXF600-0 offers customizable airflow through its variable speed settings, along with integrated cruise control for convenient operation.
Weighing 16.8 lbs, this backpack unit sits on the user’s back, reducing the need to support the full weight with the arms during operation. When using a MXFHD812 battery, the total weight of the blower reaches around 30.1 lbs. Its throttle is located on the tube, which allows to keep the left hand free. The telescopic tube enables quick and easy adjustments: shortening for tight spaces and extending as needed.
Control Handle
The throttle’s control panel features intuitive LED indicators and controls:
- Mode Button & LEDs: Cycle between Low, Medium, and High power modes.
- Battery Gauge: Four LEDs indicate the remaining battery level, including low-charge and empty-battery alerts.
- ONE-KEY™ Indicator: Displays tool status related to connection, communication, or lockout via the ONE-KEY™ App.

The Milwaukee MXF600-0's performance versus other blowers
The following charts are provided to give you an idea how the key specs of the Milwaukee MXF600-0 compare with other cordless backpack leaf blowers.
- Among other cordless backpack blowers in the 60 to 80V range, the Milwaukee MXF600-0 has a typical weight of 16.8 lbs. Should weight be a deciding factor, the Greenworks Pro BPB80L2510 is worth a look at just 9.4 lbs the bare tool.
- Upon exiting the nozzle, the air can reach speeds of up to 190 MPH, which is within the expected range for battery-operated backpack blowers. If you wish to benefit from air expelled at the fastest possible speed, the Stihl BRA 600 and its 253 MPH could be an option to consider.
- The MXF600-0 is average in terms of air volume. It's rated at 800 CFM, which is common for cordless backpack blowers with a comparable voltage. If air volume is important to you, the Senix BLBX6-M, with 950 CFM, could be in your good books.
- Users can expect a maximum autonomy of 45 minutes from its battery, which means the MXF600-0 won't run as long as many other cordless backpack units before needing to be plugged in. To enjoy the best possible autonomy in this category, you could have a look at the Toro Revolution 66100 which offers up to 330 minutes of runtime.
- While runtime is an important metric, it is closely tied to battery capacity. To understand performance more clearly, it’s also useful to look at runtime efficiency, how long the unit runs relative to its battery size. In terms of runtime efficiency, the Milwaukee MXF600-0 ranks on the lower side, delivering less runtime per unit of battery capacity than many comparable battery-powered backpack blowers. If you are focused on getting more use per charge, the Toro Revolution 66100 offers the highest runtime efficiency, at 0.28 minutes per Wh.
Price comparison
As you can see from these interactive charts, when compared to other 60-80V cordless backpack blowers, the Milwaukee MXF600-0 is on the expensive side of the price range.
While certainly not the cheapest of its kind, purchasing it could most likely also mean enjoying the reliability of a high-end product.
ONE-KEY™ App Integration
Milwaukee’s ONE-KEY™ app brings smart tracking and tool management to equipment like the MX FUEL™ Backpack Blower. Designed for ease of use, the app is available on both iOS and Android, helping you keep your tools secure, organized, and optimized for performance.
Key features include:
- Bluetooth tool tracking: Automatically logs the blower’s last known location when it’s within range of your phone.
- Remote lockout: Disable the blower if it’s lost or stolen.
- Inventory management: Keep track of serial numbers, purchase records, maintenance logs, and user assignments in one centralized system.
- Performance control: Set and lock the blower’s power mode (High, Medium, Low) remotely for consistent operation and battery management.
The bottom line
- Brushless motor
- Cruise control
- Decent bare tool weight (16.8 lbs)
- Decent CFM (800 CFM)
- Decent MPH (190 MPH)
- On the expensive side
- Low autonomy (45 mins)
- Low power efficiency
