Description
Overview of the Poulan Pro PR46BT
- Power: The Poulan Pro PR46BT is a gas-powered blower with a maximum air volume rating of 490 cubic feet per minute (CFM) and an air speed of 220 MPH.
- Handling: Like most backpack blowers, this model is technically heavier than a handheld. That being said, it can feel lighter and more comfortable because of the way it is carried, even when used over extended periods of time. Its throttle is located on the tube, which allows you to keep your left hand free. When compared to other gas-powered backpack blowers, the Poulan Pro PR46BT stands out due to its lower weight: just 19.8 lbs.
- Engine: The blower is fitted with a 46cc engine. Please be aware that 2-cycle engines like this one require a mixture of gas and oil in order to run. For the Poulan Pro PR46BT, this ratio is 50:1.
- Speed Settings: Thanks to its variable speed settings, the Poulan Pro PR46BT allows precise control of the air output.
- Noise: Its noise rating of 100 dB can be considered the standard for similar gas-powered backpack blowers.
- Fuel Tank: It has an average fuel capacity for a backpack blower, with a tank that holds around 51.2 fl. oz of fuel.

The bottom line
- Lightweight (19.8 lbs)
- Decent tank (51.2 fl. oz.)
- Acceptable noise (100 dB)

Junk!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’d like my money back on this blower…
Dont buy the Poulam Pro PR46BT. Its a waste of money.
bought a used one did really good the first year bought didn’t start the 2nd year
took carb off found carb mount was loose took mount off cleaned carb mount and carb starts every time
has good power now I’m assuming it was a vacuum leak
hope this helps
lets see what next year brings
Sorry excuse for a leaf blower. Never ran right. Would not idle and bogged down when you gave it gas. Time when it did run decent after about 5 minutes would start bogging down. Hard to start cold, would not start warm. Never buy anything with Poulan on it. Customer service is as sorry as the blower.
Absolute JUNK!!!!! Starting is virtually impossible without pulling the plug, injecting starting fluid into the cylinder. Once you get it started (If you can that is) it will die every single time you let off the throttle. So it is necessary to run at wide open throttle to use. How Poulan can stay in business is a mystery to me because I’ve owned a Poulan weed whip, 18″ chain saw and another smaller blower and all three are useless for the exact same issue. I have since changed over to Stihl products and never have an issue. ************DO NOT PURCHASE**************
Initially, the blower worked great and was easy to start. The second year it would lose power. It would run ok at lower power level. The third year it was very hard to start and after running 15-20 min. started losing power. Eventually, it would barely run above idle. Determined the problem was the fuel line inside the tank. It had disintegrated. While it was easy for me to fix, I’m sure it would have cost a lot to have it repaired at a dealer. The warranty expired at two years. Clearly. the fuel line was ani nferior material. It would be hard to trust Poulan in the future. I would look hard at an alternative.
Hard to start and runs rough. With half choke will not get full power. DO NOT BUY!
The other reviews pretty much sum up this product! It has no redeeming qualities and is at best a child’s toy for them to pretend that they are blowing leaves.
This was the worst blower I have ever in life purchased. It will let you down contantly and small engine techs laugh at it.?
If you are looking for a blower that starts easily, runs consistently at all throttle settings, restarts easily after a brief shutdown and will idle at the lowest throttle setting, DO NOT buy this machine. It is without question the most difficult to start small engine I have ever owned. It has plenty of power if you can get it started and keep it running, but if you release the accelerator trigger the engine will shut down and you may have to wait until the next day to get it started again. Most disappointing purchase I’ve ever made.
Do not even bother spending your money on the machine.
