Description
Zoom on the RedMax EBZ8560
The RedMax EBZ8560 is a gas backpack blower that is mostly aimed at homeowners with homes with expansive outdoor areas (the kind that is more measured in acres than square feet), and professional landscapers working across several client grounds.
It sports a max air speed of 220 MPH and a max air volume rating of 1000 cubic feet per minute (CFM). To put it simply, it combines strong airflow to move piles of leaves in the yard with enough force to clear heavier material such as pine needles or acorns from patios and walkways.
This gas blower is powered by a 75.6-cc 2-stroke engine that requires a 50:1 fuel-to-oil mix. Its tank has a capacity of 77.8 fl. oz., which is typical for backpack gas blowers.
With its adjustable airflow through variable speed settings, the RedMax EBZ8560 puts control in the hands of the user, allowing for tailored performance.
This gas backpack blower has a dry weight of 25.5 lbs and shifts most of the weight to the back, reducing strain on the arms during operation. Its throttle is hip-mounted, which can make it easier on the right hand when operating it over an extended period of time.

The RedMax EBZ8560's performance versus other blowers
The following charts are provided to give you an idea how the key specs of the RedMax EBZ8560 compare with similar leaf blowers.
- Compared to its counterparts, the RedMax EBZ8560 has a fairly standard weight for a gas-powered backpack blower over 75cc at 25.5 lbs. Should weight be a deciding factor, the Stihl BR 800 X MAGNUM® is worth a look at just 23 lbs.
- Maxing out at 220 MPH at full power, this blower is on the lower end in terms of air speed for gas-powered backpack blowers over 75cc. For the fastest air speed in this category, you may want to consider the PRORUN PBB3000, which can expell air at a velocity that can reach 250 MPH.
- Its air volume, rated at 1000 CFM, is typical among gas-powered backpack blowers with a comparable engine size. If air volume is important to you, the Husqvarna 590BTS, with 1245 CFM, could be in your good books.

About RedMax
RedMax is an established power equipment brand in North America, known for its trimmers, chainsaws and, of course, leaf blowers. Interestingly, the company traces its roots back to Japan, where it was founded in 1910 as the Tokyo Gas Kogyo Company. TGCK went through numerous name changes and settled with the names Komatsu Zenoah (globally) and RedMax/Zenoah (North America), under which they sell their products to this day. The company was acquired by Husqvarna in 2007. RedMax has a somewhat extensive portfolio of more than 10 leaf blowers, both backpack and handheld, and has recently launched a battery powered product line. RedMax products are produced in various plants over the globe, which are not limited to Japan.

User Reviews
Redmax 8560 is a game changer! I was running a Stihl Br600 for 11 years and started having issues, gasket seal, oil rings, throttle cable but a noticable loss in power. Replaced the gasket seal, but still having issues with lagging power. Pulled the plug on a Ebz8560 when my dealer had a promo for it selling it for $589 dropped from $649! WOW what a massive massive beast!! You will not see its full power until about the 2nd refuel…at that point your carb is all dialed in, and that blower can torque you off kilter if your footing isnt secure! It is a little thirsty, but that is the only down side. Weight is evenly distributed so it makes having a 77oz fuel tank filled not so bad. It is a little harder to start than the br600 tho.. redmax takes a good 5-7 pulls before it starts. The stihl always started on the 1st or 2nd pull. (Per redmax instruction it says prime no more than 3 pumps, stihl would get 5 pumps) not sure if that is making the difference. Just a true 2 cycle commercial machine. If your in the market for a no nonsense powerhouse without a 4mix or bells and whistles, this is your machine. Power for days and quite comfortable!
