Overview of the Troy-Bilt TB27BH
- Power: The TB27BH gas-powered blower, manufactured by Troy-Bilt, is rated for a maximum air volume of 450 cubic feet per minute (CFM) and a maximum air speed of 205 miles per hour (MPH).
- Handling: Being handheld, this leaf blower is inherently easier to manage and transport compared to larger alternatives like backpack or walk-behind models. The Troy-Bilt TB27BH distinguishes itself among other gas-powered handheld blowers for its lightweight design, weighing just 9.5 lbs.
- Engine: This blower's engine has a displacement specification of 27cc. Given its 2-cycle design, it's essential to mix gasoline and oil correctly for the unit's engine. The proper fuel ratio set by the manufacturer for the TB27BH is 40:1.
- Speed Settings: With its variable speed settings, the Troy-Bilt TB27BH allows you to precisely control its air output. In addition, the blower is also equipped with cruise control, with which the user can easily maintain the selected settings.
- Noise: The TB27BH's noise level is rated at 74 dB, which is standard for gas-powered handheld blowers.
- Fuel Tank: With a tank capacity of 14 fl. oz., the Troy-Bilt blower falls within the usual range for gas handheld blowers.
- SpringAssist™: The Troy-Bilt TB27BH benefits from the proprietary SpringAssist™ starting system. This system allows the operator to start the leaf blower with a slow and steady pull on the starter rope, which greatly reduces the pulling effort needed.
The Troy-Bilt TB27BH's performance versus other blowers
The following charts are provided to give you an idea how the key specs of the Troy-Bilt TB27BH compare with similar leaf blowers.
- Forced air exiting this blower has been clocked at a maximum speed of 205 MPH, positioning the TB27BH at the forefront in terms of air velocity among gas-powered handheld blowers. If you wish to benefit from air expelled at the fastest possible speed, the Craftsman BV2500 and its 250 MPH could be an option to consider.
- The TB27BH is average in terms of air volume. It's rated at 450 CFM, which is common for gas-powered handheld blowers. If air volume is important to you, the Ryobi JET FAN RY25AXB, with 520 CFM, could be in your good books.

User Reviews
I have 2 of these. First one worked great for a little over 2 years and then the carburetor needed to be replaced. I had extended warranty so they replaced it. I bought another one with the money they gave me. It lasted 1 year before carburetor needed replacement. No service center near me. The repair centers near me do not have the proper tool. So, I have two blowers with the same diagnosis but no way to prove it to Troy-Bilt. I only used TruFuel in both.
