Description
Overview of the Worx WG521
- Power: This electric leaf blower has a maximum air volume rating of 800 cubic feet per minute (CFM) and an air speed rating of 135 MPH.
- Power delivery: As it is a corded model, the blower needs to be plugged in to a power source in order for the 12 Amp motor to operate. Note that the power cord might not be included with the blower. Should you wish to obtain one, use our gauge calculator.
- Cord Lock Mechanism: Anyone who has experienced the frustration of having their blower suddenly stop from being accidentally unplugged will be glad to know that the WG521 has a 'cord lock' mechanism.
- Handling: With its handheld design, this leaf blower was created with portability in mind. Most users will have no problem using it almost anywhere. Among other electric handheld blowers, the Worx WG521 can be considered light, weighing only 6.6 lbs.
- Speed Settings: Thanks to its variable speed settings, the Worx WG521 allows precise control of the air output.
- Noise: With a decibel rating of 82 dB, the WG521 is neither louder nor quieter than its rivals in the electric handheld category.

The Worx WG521's performance versus other blowers
The following charts are provided to give you an idea how the key specs of the Worx WG521 compare with similar leaf blowers.
- Upon exiting the nozzle, the air can reach speeds of up to 135 MPH, which is pretty much what is to be expected for electric handheld blowers. If you wish to benefit from air expelled at the fastest possible speed, the Craftsman CMEBL7000 and its 260 MPH could be an option to consider.
- If air volume is an important feature, the WG521 by Worx will not disappoint. Its airflow maxes out at 800 CFM (cubic feet per minute), which makes this unit one of the most powerful electric handheld blowers.

Questions & Answers
There are no questions yet. Ask the first question.
First off, the WG521 is by far the best blower I have ever owned. It has 4 speeds, and it makes short work of blowing large parking lots clear of debris. The performance details to consider would include air velocity, air volume, weight, loudness, and ergonomics. After about 6 months of fairly significant use, here are my thoughts:
1. Air velocity: Powerful enough to blow typical 1″ landscaping rock around…9 out of 10
2. Air volume: Certainly this unit’s strongest point…10 out of 10
3. Weight: Considering its power, this unit’s weight would be acceptable, and it feels well-built…8 out of 10
4. Loudness: I don’t have a way to measure/compare decibels, but given it’s power, the sound level is acceptable…8 out of 10.
5. Ergonomics: This unit is well balanced and easy enough to wield, but the biggest weakness is the $#@* 4-position power/speed rolling-type switch. It is recessed too far into the handle, difficult to “roll”, making it VERY difficult to turn on or change speeds when wearing gloves. I have to remove my gloves when I want to turn it on/off or change speeds, and even then, it is still very hard to “roll” this switch. This is the AG521’s only Achilles heel, but it is a really annoying one. WORX folks…fix this annoying issue and you will have the absolute best blower by far on the market.
Okay, great blower. Really powerful.
Needs a flat nozzle attachment!!!!! Not having one is SERIOUSLY a major faux pas on the part of the manufacturer. I mean, it’s a LEAF BLOWER.
Also, THIS article says that it’s a real speed. Wrong. It’s fully ajustable.
Only FOUR stars because it doesn’t have the flat nozzle.
