The only differences between these 2 units is that the BG 86 C-E features Stihl's Easy2Start technology, which adds an additional spring between the crankshaft and the starter rope. Upon pulling the starter rope, the engine will attempt to start regardless of how hard the rope was pulled. The BG 86 is a bit lighter.
