Feel, Fuel & Noise

As the BR 600 and the BR 700 are both Stihl blowers, they benefit from the same level of quality and attention to detail.

  • These two products are constructed as backpack blowers, allowing you to comfortably carry their big engines and massive fuel tanks. You'll find the throttle positioned on the tube of both products, ensuring that your left hand remains unoccupied for other activities.
  • Both products are gas-powered blowers, providing a reliable power source that can be refilled in seconds, granting you the flexibility to navigate through expansive outdoor areas effortlessly.
  • The weight of the Stihl BR 700, at 23.4 lbs, slightly exceeds that of the 21.6 lbs Stihl BR 600, which means you may experience slightly less fatigue and find it easier to maneuver during prolonged use.
  • Both devices maintain a noise level of 75 dB, ensuring they're equally respectful of your neighbors' peace and equally pleasant for you to operate without excessive noise.

CFM & MPH

  • The Stihl BR 700, boasting a CFM of 912, clearly outperforms the 677 CFM of the Stihl BR 600. With this higher CFM, the Stihl BR 700 promises a vastly improved leaf blowing capability, allowing you to tackle larger areas with ease.
  • The Stihl BR 600's MPH of 238 beats the 197 MPH of the Stihl BR 700. It therefore expels air faster and should aid you blowing leaves on grass or lifting heavy debris (acorns, etc.) and wet leaves more effectively.

Engine specs

  • The fuel tank size for both devices is 47.3 fl.oz., ensuring similar refueling requirements for each.
  • These two products share an engine displacement of 64.8 cc, suggesting they might consume comparable amounts of fuel per stroke, potentially resulting in similar performance outputs. The leaf blowers have a 4-stroke engine. Both feature a Stihl 4-Mix engine design though, and therefore require an oil/fuel mix.

Other features

  • Both the Stihl BR 600 and the Stihl BR 700 lack leaf vacuuming features, meaning you'll need to employ another method for leaf collection.
