Common specs comparison
Make & handling
- As the Echo PB-9010T and the Stihl BR 800 C-E MAGNUM® do not share the same manufacturer, their overall build and technology in use can vary. In this case, the Stihl BR 800 C-E MAGNUM® benefits from the Easy2Start technology. Both products have their throttle located on the tube of the blower, which allows you to keep your left hand free.
- These two products are constructed as backpack blowers, allowing you to comfortably carry their powerful engines and massive fuel tanks.
- Both products are gas-powered blowers - gas is a reliable power source which you can refill in a matter of seconds.
CFM & MPH
- In comparison, the Echo PB-9010T, with a CFM of 1110, beats the 912 CFM of the Stihl BR 800 C-E MAGNUM®, making it the superior landscaping tool of the two, when it comes to the amount of leaves that can be blown per minute.
- The Stihl BR 800 C-E MAGNUM® with an MPH of 239 slightly exceeds the 220 MPH of the Echo PB-9010T. Thus, in comparison, the former expels air at a slightly higher speed, and should do a better job at blowing leaves on grass or lifting wet leaves and debris (acorns, etc.).
Weight & Noise rating
- The weight of the Echo PB-9010T, which is 26.4 lbs, slightly exceeds the 25.8 lbs of the Stihl BR 800 C-E MAGNUM®, and will therefore require you to carry around slightly more weight.
- The noise rating of the Echo PB-9010T, which is 80 dB, slightly exceeds the 78 dB of the Stihl BR 800 C-E MAGNUM®. Even if this difference could seem unsignificant, the former is still slightly more noisy.
Engine specs comparison
- The Echo PB-9010T's fuel tank has a volume of 83.8 fl.oz., exceeding the 67.6 fl.oz. of the Stihl BR 800 C-E MAGNUM®. Therefore, you may store more fuel in the device and theoretically operate it longer, if their engines are equally demanding.
- These two products have an identical engine displacement of 79.9cc. Thus, they consume comparable amounts of fuel per stroke and will provide you with similar output.
- Each of these blowers requires a fuel/oil mix to operate, as the Echo PB-9010T features a 2-cycle engine, and the Stihl BR 800 C-E MAGNUM® is powered by the Stihl 4-Mix 4-stroke engine.
Other features comparison

I have used both blowers. I currently own the pb9010 not because of the pricing but I feel it moves things better with the higher cfm. More air more movement.
